- Background Kisharon is a charity supporting people with learning disabilities and their families. Although established, it sets itself demanding targets to offer the very best help for those it supports. Targets which have to be met to ensure Kisharon can continue to offer the level of support it wants and needs to. High profile annual fundraising dinners are the key time to engage high net worth donors who support this cause. But it’s a crowded marketplace, with supporters who have seen it all before. The challenge is to constantly surprise and move the message on for them. So it’s still just as relevant and emotionally engaging. But with different concepts presented in innovative ways, inspiring donors to give more than they originally planned.
- Approach Verity has been working with Kisharon for five years, offering strategic content consultancy, social campaign planning and content creation – most importantly in the shape of appeal films for its annual fundraising dinner. Each year, we’ve had to bring in new messaging, new ideas and offer surprising and ever more creative content, with a strong narrative that will move people to donate. Whilst also reflecting Kisharon’s key messages, and enhancing it’s broader communications with strategic support and integration.
- Outcome In the last three years, our communications have helped raise over £3 million for Kisharon. And our films have won multiple industry awards, including the Evcom award for Innovation, and two Evcom gold awards within third sector communication categories

This film helped create an amazing atmosphere in the room on the night, with many guests saying it was the best dinner we’d ever hosted.
